Maltese holders of doctoral degrees or equivalent professional training or experience are being offered the opportunity to apply for a US grant under the 2008-2009 Fulbright visiting scholar programme to enable them to carry out advanced research or lecturing in the US for a period of three months as from January.

Together with their completed application form, CV, and three letters of reference, applicants are required to submit a project statement detailing the research or lecturing activity they propose to undertake at a US institution, and a letter of invitation from the US institution confirming that it is prepared to host the scholar in the event that the application is successful.
Candidates from the University of Malta who would like the University to support their application are to submit a copy of their completed application form, together with a letter of endorsement from the dean or director of their respective faculty or institute, to the director of the University's International and EU Office, Room 219, Administration Building, by March 14.
