Students and staff at St Joseph School, Sliema recently, hosted Archbishop Paul Cremona to their school on the happy occasion of his 62nd birthday.
While the junior school pupils welcomed Mgr Cremona with dance and songs centred around the theme of 'Celebration', the senior school students presented a mime, a Power Point presentation and poems that illustrated their spiritual experiences in school.
This was followed by a question and answer session and an adoration involving the whole senior school, led by Mgr Cremona.
As he was led around the junior and senior schools by the respective school headmistresses, Sr Cecilia Casolani and Sr Riches Grech, the Archbishop showed evident appreciation for the children's efforts.
Celebrations came to a fitting end with both juniors and seniors meeting in the school grounds to wish a happy birthday to Mgr Cremona, who cut his birthday cake flanked by two students and two nuns who were also celebrating their birthday.
As a farewell, the school pupils and students presented the Archbishop with a gift as well as 30 boxes of foodstuffs, which were subsequently distributed to immigrants at Ħal Far at Mgr Cremona's request.
