Ryanair offers one million seats for €0.01 each

The Ryanair.com booking system will be closed this weekend, reopening on Monday evening.

On Tuesday, the low-fare airline will give away one million seats for €0.01 (including taxes and airport charges), it said, advising customers "not to get fleeced by the high fare airlines" in the meantime.

Due to a system upgrade, the Ryanair website and call centre will be unable to accept new bookings between today and 11 p.m. on Monday. All flights over the period will operate as normal.

Bridget Dowling, Ryanair's sales and marketing manager for southern Europe, said the give-away seats will be available on Malta's new route to Valencia.
