Lyden Debono booked his place in the final of the U-18 competition at the European Pool Championships currently being played at the New Dolmen Hotel, Bugibba.

In a short statement the Malta Pool Association said last night that Debono had reached the final after beating English player Phil Parkin 6-4.

The final will be played this morning, starting at 10 a.m.

In the competitions for teams, Malta A and Malta B both successfully advanced to the semi-finals.

Malta A will now play against Wales while Malta B will face England.

The European Championships come to a close today when the finals in all categories are played.
