AFM flies sailor to emergency op
A Thai crewman (and not Chinese and previously reported by the AFM) was winched aboard a helicopter and flown to Mater Dei Hospital last night for an emergency appendix operation, the AFM said. The rescue was carried out by an Italian Military Mission helicopter with a joint Italian-Maltese crew. The sailor was on board the Tai Promotion, some 35 nautical miles north east of Malta.
