One TV journalist apologises
One TV journalist Charlon Gouder yesterday apologised to Investments Minister Austin Gatt for unethical behaviour. The Investments Ministry said Dr Gatt accepted Mr Gouder's apology for recording a telephone conversation with the minister and broadcasting parts of it without asking for permission to do so. Mr Gouder admitted to Dr Gatt that he had acted improperly, the ministry said.

The most honorable thing one can do in life is to admit one's mistakes and learn through them. Although I am of a different political opinion from that of Charlon Gouder I congratulate him for being wise . This episode will not humble him in any way. we are all human. During these challenging electoral campaign weeks life becomes very stressful for jounalists and Minister Gatt was also wise enough to understand that this kind of stress sometimes leads to mistakes. Well done to both . I wish we could hear more apologies . Everyone knows what i am talking about. Admitting a mistake makes more of a man than trying to justify a mistake with useless excuses. 'Prosit Charlon Gouder and also Prosit Autin Gatt . May be other will learn from this . That how things should be tackled .

It was about time to hear a 'sorry' from Mr. Charlon Gouder. However, I good thing is always good.
As for Minister Gatt, I always believed he is not that arrogant as many believe.

and they lived happily ever after.... this is how politics should be. if one makes a mistake, one should admit, apologise and move on... why do we have to read about constant bickering?
well done to mr gouder for apologising about his unethical behaviour - because it truly was unethical - and well done to the minister for accepting the apology.
