New MSc course launched with San Diego University

The University of Malta in collaboration with San Diego State University this morning launched a collaborative graduate degree programme in marketing and integrated marketing communications.

University Rector Juanito Camilleri and US Ambassador Molly Bordonaro explained at a press conference that the course will be based in Malta. It will start next September, with lecturers coming from San Diego State University. The degree will be recognised in Malta and the US.

This will be the second collaborative masters course. An MSc in sustainable environmental resources management was launched last December with leading North American Universities.

Prof Camilleri said such programmes helped 'internationalise' the University of Malta through its brand International Masters Programme.

Education Minister Louis Galea said these were exciting times and he had a feeling of envy for the next minister of education, who would take the post with so much already charted and in a state of implementation.
