A man from Fgura was yesterday granted bail against a personal guarantee of €1,165 (Lm500) after he pleaded not guilty to holding his former girlfriend against her will.
Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona heard Massimo Tivisini, 39, plead not guilty to the charge and to threatening her with violence, insulting and resisting the police, offending public morals, breaching the peace and harassing her on February 18 at 7.30 a.m.
Police Inspectors Marisa Camilleri and Anthony Cachia prosecuted.
Lawyer Marion Camilleri appeared as legal aid to Mr Tivisini.
