Councillor's resignation
In Rene Rossignaud's recent resignation from his position as local councillor, one of the reasons cited was that the AD is poaching votes from the PN.
To have an aspiring, young politician, in this day and age, publicly stating that he believes that votes belong to a particular political party is unbelievable. I suggest that Mr Rossignaud realises that in a true, democratic society, votes belong to the individual voter and not to any particular party.
Mr Rossignaud goes on to claim that AD is only interested in obtaining power at all costs. I am sure that, since vote chasing bothers him so much, he does not think that the Nationalist government has the same agenda as his former party. I am sure that GonziPN regaling us with a new promise every other day, has nothing to do with the vote catching that so bothers the conscientious Mr Rossignaud.
Mr Rossignaud's other statement, that a vote for Alternattiva would aid a Labour government in sepa-rating Malta from the EU he believes in so much, despite the Labour Party's many public denials, shows his coincidental compliance with the Nationalist Party's constant, paranoiac attacks on the Labour party.
How Mr Rossignaud tries to portray himself as someone of high principles, and then allows himself to be used in such a way by the Nationalist Party's pro-poganda machine, is mind boggling to say the least.

Only Mr. Rssignaud can answer the question regarding, what, if anything, he stands to gain. Whilst answering that question, I would like to ask whether the story that his resignation was first sent to the PN media rather to ALternattiva, holds any truth.

Wherever the clear-thinking people without grudges may be, they're certainly not in AD. Maybe that's why Rene Rossignaud resigned. What did he stand to gain by resigning except a clear conscience and a lot of flak from conspiracy theorists of the kind who inhabit the computer games world as though it is reality?

I disagree with the criticism leveled personally at Rene….the issue is neither him nor AD….it is simply the system we have let ourselves in, enslaved by the duopoly mentality of total red and blue. I am sure Rene wishes to eventually see Malta released from the strangling MLPN grip, however he may have become over anxious when about to make the leap. Nonetheless the number of individuals who want and are ready to vote to radically change the dysfunctional system, beyond the major parties’ liking, is increasing and ready to be counted.
