A 25-year-old man was arraigned in court this morning charged with seriously injuring his brother in an argument on October 28, 2007.

Magistrate Jacqueline Padovani heard Clifton Cassar from Zabbar plead not guilty to seriously injuring his brother when he bit off part of his ear. The argument took place at around 11.30p.m.

Mr Cassar was also charged with breaching public order and being intoxicated to a point where he was unable to look after himself.

Lawyers Jose' Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for Mr Cassar while lawyer Ian Farrugia appeared parte civile.
