A 27-year-old woman from Mosta is in critical condition after the Panda she was driving was involved in collision with a truck in Tower Road, Sliema this morning. The truck was driven by a 22-year-old man from Zurrieq.

Magistrate Doreen Clarke is holding an inquiry.

In another incident, a 20-year-old man from Bahrija was seriously injured this morning when his Maruti went out of control and crashed into an electricity pole.

The police said the incident happened at around 5 a.m. near the Attard traffic lights. His injuries are not life threatening.
