Totti says Real's Raul deserves Ballon D'Or

Roma captain Francesco Totti said he is amazed the Ballon D'Or award is missing from Real Madrid striker Raul's honours collection.

"It is a scandal that such a good player, a player who has scored wherever he has gone, has won everything there is to win, has never won the Ballon D'Or," Totti told Sky television before Roma's Champions League clash with Real next week.

The former Italy forward also praised the Spaniard for sharing his sense of club loyalty: "Raul is Real Madrid's Totti and Totti is Roma's Raul.

"We are similar in the way we have grown up, always with the same team, always with the same desire to stay."
