UĦM makes a point

The Union Ħaddiema Magħqudin (UĦM) has written to Labour leader Alfred Sant about the statement by both Dr Sant and MLP deputy leader Charles Mangion that the General Workers' Union was the only union that had opposed a proposal by employers that the first 100 hours of overtime would be paid at the normal hourly rate.

The UĦM said it was involved in the talks among the social partners and had also opposed the proposal. The union said all the other unions had been against the proposal.
