HSBC opens branch in Attard
Attard has been added to the growing list of localities served by HSBC branches, which now number 41.
The branch offers a full range of automated services 24 hours, seven days a week, for transactional banking, complemented with personal service for higher-value products, a bank spokesman said.
Run by six customer-orientated staff, the services offered at Attard branch include financial planning, life insurance cover and investments, personal and home loans, credit and debit cards, deposit accounts and a share shop for transactions in equities and bonds on the local and international markets.
The branch also includes one of HSBC Group's exclusive Premier Centres, which so far are only available in Sliema and Valletta. The branch, the spokesman said, has been designed to fit into a typical Maltese townhouse, retaining its architectural features to blend in with the surrounding environment.
HSBC said it invested over €70 million in its branch refurbishment programme.
"The opening of this attractive retail outlet in Attard is another example of easy community banking combining personal advisory help with automated transactional business," Shaun Wallis, the bank's CEO, said.
The Attard premises were officially inaugurated by Tonio Fenech, Parliamentary Secretary in the Ministry of Finance.
The HSBC branch in Attard is managed by Katherine Borg Costanzi.
