Heritage Malta is celebrating Valentine's Day today by exhibiting a 5,000-year old terracotta figurine showing an embracing couple. The minute artefact has some fine incisions representing hair on both figures. It is the only Maltese prehistoric presentation of an embracing couple.

Dating back to 3,200 BC, the rare find is being exhibited at the National Museum of Archaeology in Republic Street, Valletta. Admission to view this Valentine couple is free of charge.

The museum is open daily, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.
