The British Airways league for youths got underway at the Naxxar Boys Secondary School gymnasium recently with a combined weight categories tournament.

The competition was keen and interesting even though one of the most quoted junior wrestlers this season, Adam Vella, did not take part as he was feeling unwell.

While the more seasoned wrestlers, particularly those with international experience, continued to show good form, others, like David Zammit, Jack Linecher and Kyle Attard, caught the eye.

There was marked improvement in their style of wrestling from the last showing in similar junior competitions.
