SmartCity Malta was promoted at the Business Park 2008 exhibition that took place in New Delhi, India.
The Malta venture was among the projects featured at the stand mounted by SmartCity, a global network of self-sustained townships for knowledge-based industries.
SmartCity Malta, a $300 million investment outlay, is the largest direct foreign investment in the ICT and media sectors in Malta. The project is expected to generate 5,600 jobs and offer a total office space of 103,000 square metres.
SmartCity is a joint venture company promoted by Dubai Holding members, Tecom Investments and SAMA Dubai. It developed from the successful model of Dubai Internet City, Dubai Media City and Dubai Knowledge Village. The three entities have been exceptionally successful in attracting investments from some of the largest global companies in the ICT, media and education sectors. SmartCity has a presence in Dubai, Malta and Kochi and more are in the pipeline.

The Business Park 2008 exhibition is one of a kind as it is the only trade show for commercial properties in India.
