Travel arrangements for Maltese voters living abroad

Travel arrangements are being made for eligible voters living abroad to enable them to vote in Malta at the forthcoming General Election on 8 March 2008.

For this purpose, Air Malta plc will be making available return air tickets at a charge of €35 (Lm15.03) inclusive of taxes and other charges to persons who are eligible to vote in Malta at the forthcoming General Election.

Reservations may be made at Air Malta outstation offices and the Air Malta General Sales Agents abroad or locally at the Air Malta Sales Offices in Valletta, Malta International Airport and Gozo or on telephone number 21662211.

These travel arrangements will be for the period Friday 29 February 2008 to Sunday 16 March 2008, both days inclusive and are valid for:

(a) eligible voters, including those married to foreigners, studying, working or undergoing medical treatment abroad; and

(b) dependants of the persons referred to in (a) above.

Persons to whom this directive applies must be eligible voters whose names appear in the last Electoral Register.
