Newly-promoted Inlusion are already causing a stir in the Middlesea League at the Eden SuperBowl. Not satisfied with their 6-2 win over champs Fina First in week one, week four saw them calmly claim the scalp of leaders Aercomms with a similar scoreline.

This allowed joint-second sides, Fina First and Royal Shock, to trim Aercomms' early lead to a mere two points, thanks to their own respective six-pointers against Globalair Travel and The Clan.

Majority wins were the flavour of the night as Ramis were beaten 6-2 by PharmaVet, as were Turu's Knights by HSBC.

Inlusion faced a shaky, inconsistent Aercomms outfit, opening the scoring with a 721 game against a dismal 616 from their more-illustrious opponents. Aercomms then soared to a big 780 to win game two against Inlusion's 699 to make it two-all, still 24 pins down on the series but a win was still within reach.

That was not to be, as plucky Inlusion rounded the match off with a 729-711 win to make it 6-2 and improve to sixth place.

Globalair were the early leaders against Fina, taking game one by 30 pins, 797-767.

Fina, however, were level thanks to a 726-806 game two victory. They made it 6-2 in their favour with a good 702-851 in the third, giving them the best teams series of the night on 2,424.

Royal Shock's 6-2 result came at the detriment of bottom side The Clan, these being the latter's very first points of the season.

Royal Shock were first on the scoreboard with a 712-694 game one win, before going on to double their lead to 4-0 by easily taking game two 815-680.

Game three could have gone either way, and it just slipped to The Clan by a five-pin margin (707-712) for their quarter share of the spoils.

Bowlers of the week: Justin Caruana Scicluna (Fina First, 635); Sue Abela (Fina First, 546).

Standings: Aercomms 24, Fina First 22, Royal Shock 22, HSBC 18, Turu's Knights 18, Inlusion 16, Pharmavet 14, Globalair 12, Ramis 12, The Clan 2.
