Magistrate Michael Mallia this morning jailed a Libyan national for a week for approaching and insulting a principal witness in a case against him.

Rashad El-Arabi Mabruk, 35 from Valletta had denied breaching his bail conditions.

Police Inspector Anthony Portelli told the court that the first incident happened on Tuesday at the park and ride and the second at the Valletta police station.

Police Inspector Anthony Portelli prosecuted.

Lawyer Anthony Cutajar appeared as legal aid for Mr Mabruk.
