GWU rally for health staff

The General Workers' Union is calling a rally for nursing aides, health assistants, care workers and assistant care workers tomorrow to discuss what action it could take after the Health Division "went back on its word".

During a meeting yesterday, the division accepted the union's proposals on the pay scale of nursing aides, and compensation for overtime and the reduction of the break.

However, no agreement was reached on the premium allowance of the other categories.

The union will be explaining the outcome in detail during tomorrow's rally.
