British sprinter Dwain Chambers clocked 6.70 seconds over 60m in Birmingham yesterday to qualify for the British trials for the world indoor championships.

Chambers, who served a two-year drugs ban, is now eligible to race in Sheffield next weekend for a spot in the British team, although UK Athletics are opposed to his selection.

Entries for the world championship trials close today and Chambers is likely to take legal action if UK Athletics prevent him taking part.
