Rodney Vella, 28 of Kalkara was arraigned before Magistrate Paul Coppini this morning, accused of theft from a shop in Fortunanto Mizzi Street, Victoria yesterday.

The man was arrested by the police on the Gozo channel ferry on the basis of descriptions given during initial investigations.The theft had a value not exceeding € 3,000. He was also accused of relapsing.·

He pleaded not guilty and was granted bail against a personal guarantee of €2,000.
