Vodafone Malta is offering customers subscribing to the Blueskies internet broadband scheme the possibility of utilising high speed WiMAX broadband.

The company said that for €3 (Lm1.29) monthly, eligible customers will get a 2 MB connection with a 12GB download limit, free installation and free activation with "no hidden costs".

Vodafone said it is the only company in Malta offering a fixed wireless internet connection. The service does not require a telephone line or cable connection.

Registration for the Blueskies scheme has been extended until February 8. Application forms can be collected from Vodafone retail outlets in Paola, Birkirkara, the Embassy Complex Valletta and Arkadia, Gozo. Subsequently, registration for home internet can also be done at Vodafone's retail outlets.

Only households that have not had a broadband internet connection since last December 1 can apply for the Blueskies scheme. Households served with a dial-up connection can also apply. Each household can only benefit from one broadband service.

For more information about Vodafone's home internet services, customers can contact Vodafone customer service on 247 from their Vodafone or on 9999 9247 from any other line, send an e-mail to customer service.malta@vodafone.com, or log on to www.vodafone.com.mt.
