Dangerous traffic lights
I am truly amazed and afraid of the traffic lights based opposite 120, The Strand, Sliema − Global Capital Building. I work in one of the offices there and I have to admit that there not one day passes without hearing the brakes of a car or the sound of a collision. The traffic lights are placed just after the curve and the drivers seem to always be in a hurry...
Can someone take action and remove these lights before someone dies? There are people with children, elderly people and people with pets, assured that if crossing on a green light, they are safe.
In my two years of working in this area, I have seen many "small" accidents happening in this spot. I have a young son and I already fear for his safety, although I never let him cross alone. And the funny thing is that there is no real need for this zebra crossing!
