Last month the Green Dot company advertised a competition, in Junior News. We were delighted to see that all those who were successful are regular contributors to Junior News!
Green Gary invited children to take part in a Christmas card competition to make a card from recycled packaging. On January 23, the winners and runners up were presented with their prizes.
First prize went to Kathleen Bulteel, 10, who was presented with a Canon Printer and GreenPak sling bag. The runner up's prize went to Gabriel Bonanno, nine, who won a GreenPak sling bag and GreenDot cap.
Special prizes of GreenDot caps were also awarded to Mathew Bonanno, seven, Sarah Brincat Ruffini, six, who sadly was unable to attend as she was unwell, Julia Bulteel, four Rebkah Bulteel 12, and Yasmine Bulteel, eight.
Green Gary is also responsible for GreenPak's Children's club. And the job of Green Gary and GreenPak is to recover and recycle packaging waste, such as cereal boxes and plastic wrappers. When you see packaging with the GreenDot, you know it is being recycled responsibly.
