I do look forward to learning the lyrics of the winning song Vodka, or the message behind it. I heard it three times, to no avail.
Using the benefit of hindsight, I always regretted not betting on the fortunes of Maltese participants in the previous Eurovision festivals. Nevertheless, I shall not be tempted this year either. Our song will not make it to the finals. And I strongly urge the abolition of the popular vote. Had it been applied in the semi-finals on Thursday, I am pretty sure that readers would have guessed the winners.

To those obsessing about the Eurovision song festival and treating it as if its the embodiment of our national honour, I say "Get a life!"

I hate to be the one to disappoint Mr Caruana, but as it seemed to be understood by comments on a local television programme yesterday by the persons involved in the song, its our fault (being common mortals) for not understanding the song. But of course the bad pronunciation and plain silly lyrics were not considered. Silly Us!
I do invite Mr Caruana to search for the lyrics online, which I managed to find. I would also like to be enlightened to any message behind the song if any is found.

Give her a break! I'm not a fan of that particular type of music, but it's a refreshing change from the usual Barney the dragon styly "I love you, you love me..." songs.
