Obituary
DEBATTISTA. On January 27, at Mater Dei Hospital, VICTOR of Msida, aged 79, passed away peacefully, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Gladys, his children, Maestro Ronnie Debattista and his wife Michelle, Carmen and her husband Joe, Joan and her fiancé Stephen and Alfred and his wife Margaret, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, Charles, Anthony, Jessie and Doris, in-laws, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 2 p.m. for St Joseph parish church, Msida, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m., followed by interment at the Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery. No flowers by request but donations to Dar tal-Providenza, Siġġiewi, will be greatly appreciated.
Lord, grant him eternal rest.
PACE. Twanny of Bir¿ebbuġa, ex proprietor of Mexico's Garage, aged 72, passed away on January 28. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Doris, his children Tony, Mario, Jesmond, Joseph and Marisa, their spouses, his grandchildren, his brothers and sisters, his in-laws, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital tomorrow at 1.45 p.m. for Marsa parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment in the family grave at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery.
Lord grant him eternal rest.
STAGNO. On January 28, Rosina née Gatt, of Msida, aged 93, widow of Giovanni, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved children Twanny and his wife Antoinette, Marianne and her husband Alfred Cocks, Ronald and his wife Mary, Maria and her husband Joseph Spiteri, her 11 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves St Vincent de Paul residence tomorrow at 7.30 a.m. for Msida parish church where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 8 a.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata Cemetery.
Special thanks to all the staff and doctors of RB2 at St Vincenet de Paul.

Feast Of St Paul On February 9
As February 10 will be the first Sunday in Lent, the Archbishop's Curia has decided that the feast of St Paul will this year be celebrated on February 9.
The parish of St Paul's Shipwreck in Valletta, however, will celebrate the feast on February 16.
La Valette Programme
The La Valette Philharmonic Society has announced its musical programme for the Feast of St Paul.
La Vallette starts its programme on February 10 with a reception at its club in Republic Street, Valletta. This will also be the venue of a concert on February 11 at 7.30 p.m.
The society's brass band directed by Dominic Darmanin will present a festival of marches and other music at the club on February 13 at 8.30 p.m.
On February 15 at 7.30 p.m., the La Valetta Band will perform the traditional band march from Republic Street to the Mediterranean Conference Centre.
The band will also perform the traditional afternoon band march on February 16 starting at 1 p.m. from near St Paul Collegiate Church in St Paul Street.
More Gozo Ferry Trips For Carnival
Gozo Channel will be adding a 2.30 a.m. trip on Friday, Saturday and Sunday due to popular demand during Carnival.
A vessel will be at Gozo Channel's disposal during the earlier hours of the morning to do further trips should the need arise.
Throughout Carnival, all three Gozo Channel ships will be available to operate a shuttle service depending on demand.
Card Party
A card party in aid of the Little Sisters of the Poor will be held at the Preluna Hotel, Sliema on February 13 from 10 a.m. For bookings one may phone Blanche Martin on 2133 0387.
