A 35-year-old man who pleaded guilty to seriously injuring a man was given a two-year jail term suspended for four years.

The court, presided over by Magistrate DoreenClarke, heard Charles Tesi from Gżira admit to injuring Mohamed Tourha in the early hours of last October 28.

Police Inspector Therese Sciberras prosecuted.

Lawyers José Herrera and Veronique Dalli appeared for Mr Tesi.
