Libel case dismissed
A court this morning dismissed a libel suit filed by Geitu Mercieca against The Sunday Times journalist Natalino Fenech and ruled that an article published in the paper on December 2005 was not libellous. Mr Mercieca told the Magistrates Court that he had been libelled by an article entitled "Sea Malta employees expect GWU to pay". The article was writted by Mr Fenech. On his part, Mr Fenech submitted that the article constituted fair comment based on facts that were true.
