Curia moves feast of St Paul to Feb 9
The feast of St Paul is to be celebrated on February 9 since February 10 is the first Sunday of Lent and the feast therefore cannot be celebrated on that day, the Curia said.
It urged the faithful to hear Mass on that day but said that for this year, this is not a feast of obligation.
The parish of St Paul's Shipwreck in Valletta will celebrate the feast on Saturday, February 16.

My sister who lives in England gave me a pocket diary for 2008 she bought from her parish church in Beckenham. I was amazed to note that non-Catholic England has the following holy days of obligation for Catholics: 6th January - Epiphany; 1st May - Ascension of our Lord; 25th May - Corpus Christi; 29th June - SS Peter and Paul; 15th August - The Assumption; 2nd November - All Saints Day and obviously Christmas Day. Therefore, my sister and all practising Catholics in England are OBLIGED to hear mass on those days - after or before a day at work.... And Catholic Malta?????? No wonder we are a people of tradition, not conviction!
