Egypt vows to take control of Gaza border


Egyptian Foreign Minister Ahmed Aboul Gheit said today Egypt would take steps to control its border with the Gaza Strip as soon as possible.

A Foreign Ministry statement provided no further details.

Egypt tried without success to seal the border with the coastal strip after militants blew holes in the border wall last week.
