GERMAN. On January 11, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Elaine, née Zammit and Colin, God's precious gift of a son - GREGORY, a most welcome brother to Pippa. Special thanks to the obstetrician and all the dedicated maternity staff at the hospital.

VELLA. On January 21, at St Philip's Hospital, to Julia, née Marvi and Joseph, God's precious gift of a first-born daughter - MIA NICOLE. Thanks be to God. Special thanks to all the family, friends, midwives and staff at the hospital.

ZAMMIT. On December 30, at Mater Dei Hospital, to Vanessa, née Mifsud and Stefan, God's precious gift of a son - ANDRÉ SAM. Special thanks to midwife Elisabeth Muscat and to all the staff at the maternity ward.

Obituary

GALDES. On January 26, VINCENT (Ċensu), aged 77, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Antonia, his daughters Carmen and her husband John, Monica and her husband Ronnie, Sue and her husband Michael, Pauline and her husband Franco, and Simone, his brothers Ġużi and his wife Doris and Tony and his wife Mary, nephews, nieces other relatives and friends. - R.I.P.
Mass, which will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mount Carmel church, Valletta, will be followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetry. No flowers by request but donations to Id-Dar tal-Providenza would be greatly appreciated.

GONZAGA. JOSEPHINE at the venerable age of 102. Sadly missed by her sister Iris Fantini of the UK, and her nephews and nieces.
Mass praesente cadavere is to be said today at 3 p.m. at the Santa Maria Adolorata cemetery chapel.

GRECH. On January 26, at Zammit Clapp Hospital, Polly née Pace, widow of Paul, went to meet the Risen Lord, comforted by the rites of Holy Church. She leaves to mourn her loss her beloved and devoted daughter Natalie, her brother, Br William Pace, SJ, her sister Bice Bezzina, her in-laws Edith Pace, Ineż Borg and Emma Grech, nephews, nieces and friends. - R.I.P.
The funeral leaves Zammit Clapp Hospital tomorrow at 2 p.m. for Stella Maris parish church, Sliema where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at 2.30 p.m. followed by interment at Santa Maria Addolorata cemetery (top gate). MASSA. On January 26, JOSEPH of Naxxar, residing at Mosta, former Police Constable (No. 8), aged 61, passed peacefully away at Mater Dei Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loss his beloved wife Helen, his daughter Stephanie and her husband John Vella, his son Desmond and his fiancée Romina, his mother Pawlina, his brothers Patrick and his wife Josephine, William and his wife Carmen, Henry and his wife Mary, Richard and his wife Lucia, Edwin and his wife Lina of Australia, Donald and his wife Maria, Marthese and her husband Vince Scicluna, Louise and her husband Raymond Ciappara, his mother-in-law Felicia Calleja, his in-laws and their respective spouses, his nephews, including Dr Warren Scicluna and Dr Edward Massa, nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral leaves Mater Dei Hospital today at 11.30 a.m. for Naxxar parish church, where Mass praesente cadavere will be said at noon, followed by interment in the family grave at Naxxar cemetery.

MURRAY - LYN (Snowy), of Tintagel, Cornwall, England, who loved Malta, passed away on January 6. Stayed at Limelight, Belsol and San Pawl Hotels, Bugibba. Will be sadly missed by her husband Den and friends, especially Julian, Sylvia and family, but will see them in heaven.

PRIVITERA. On January 23, at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital, ANTHONY, aged 64, passed away peacefully comforted by the rites of Holy Church. He leaves to mourn his loss his wife Liberata, née Scicluna, his children Mark and his wife Margherita, Michelle and her husband Carmel Mifsud, and Alfred and his wife Sharon, his grandchildren Rebecca, Matthew, Francesca and Claudio, his brothers and sisters, nephews and nieces, other relatives and friends.
The funeral took place on January 24.

Requiem Masses

On the third anniversary of the death of Fr CHARLES CARUANA, SJ, a Mass for the repose of his soul will be celebrated tomorrow at 6.30 p.m. at the University chapel, Msida. The attendance of relatives and friends will be greatly appreciated.

On the initiative of the Padre Pio Group, Lija, a Mass for the repose of the soul of the Noble Mrs MARY FALZON SANT MANDUCA will be said on Tuesday at 6 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception chapel, Immaculate Conception Street, Lija. The presence of relatives and friends will be greatly appreciated. "Jesus went into the garden, He walked over to the most beautiful flower and picked it. This precisely is what He did with your sister." (Padre Pio).
