Man charged with attempted murder

Carmel Mifsud, 35 of Msida this evening pleaded not guilty to charges of trying to kill Joseph Cachia yesterday morning at San Gwann.

The police are alleging that Mr Mifsud fired a shotgun in Mr Cachia's direction, slightly injuring him.

He appeared before Magistrate Jacquline Padovani.

Police Inspector Joseph Mercieca prosecuted and lawyer Paul Lia was defence counsel.
