Doll stays: Thomas Doll will stay on as Borussia Dortmund coach for the next two seasons after agreeing a new contract running until June 2010. Doll's original deal was due to expire at the end of the current campaign.

Landzaat: Netherlands midfielder Denny Landzaat has signed a 2-1/2 year deal with Feyenoord for an undisclosed fee from Wigan Athletic. The 31-year-old, who has 36 caps, joined club Wigan in July 2006.

Threatening letters: Inter and Milan have received threatening letters to their club headquarters, Italian media reported. The envelope delivered to Milan included an exploded bullet and the letter criticised president Silvio Berlusconi, chief executive Adriano Galliani and coach Carlo Ancelotti for the side's patchy form this season.

Coppa Italia: Roma's Italian Cup quarter-final second leg against Sampdoria will take place on Tuesday with Juventus versus Inter and the other matches on Wednesday, the league announced.

Ronaldinho: Barcelona forward Ronaldinho is in the final stages of recovery from a knee injury that has kept him out of action since the start of the year, but will miss out on his side's league match at Athletic Bilbao tomorrow. The Catalan club said that the Brazilian was expected to be given the all-clear to return to action at the start of next week.
