Malta U-21 will be seeking to chalk up a second successive positive result in the UEFA Championship Group Ten when hosting Wales at the Hibs Ground on February 5 .

Mark Miller's boys beat Bosnia 2-1 at home in November for their first victory in the group after having conceded five defeats.

That victory spurred the U-21 team after a series of upsets but the task ahead will be no easy as Wales are very much in contention for a place in the next stage of the competition.

In fact, Wales, who beat Malta 3-1 at home, are third in the standings with nine points from four matches. Romania (five matches) and France (six matches) lead the standings with 11 points each.

Edmond Agius will be the only player unavailable for Miller as the Hibs midfielder is suspended. Otherwise the squad is at full strength.

"When the draws were made last year we thought that our best chance to win points at home was when playing Bosnia and Wales," Miller said.

"We did reach our goal against Bosnia but Wales will be a different proposition. They are stronger than we had anticipated and with a chance to top the group against all expectations."

Miller is still confident though that the Maltese will produce another battling display at the Hibs Ground.

"Wales are stronger physically and some of their players are engaged with top clubs in England," he said.

"However, the Hibs Ground is our lucky stadium and we've done well there in recent matches. Wales may be in a better position in the standings but we're going to give our all to try and secure another positive result."
