The Milly, Molly series, for children up to the age of nine, has been endorsed for child development by some of the world's leading experts in their field. Aimed at promoting the acceptance of difference in a multicultural society, each story is based on a value, with the four translated into Maltese focusing on sharing feelings, respecting nature, honesty and thankfulness.

Each book also comes with a teachers' parents' guide, which helps children use their imagination as well as their memory and thus help parents and teachers discuss values with children. The bottom line of these guides is the acceptance of diversity both in ideas and appearance.

Milly and Molly are two little girls from different ethnic backgrounds and the stories are set in their daily lives as the pair and their young chums enjoy themselves whilst discovering that "we may look different but we feel the same".

Each story is charmingly told and the vivid illustrations make these books ideal to read aloud to younger children whilst established readers will enjoy reading the books independently, perhaps discussing the core values later. The books are bi-lingual with Maltese text printed in black and the English text in red ink. These books are a delightful read, and if your children are too young to read them for themselves, will provide enjoyment in years to come.
