The new Fiat 500 was launched in Malta on Wednesday just before the kick-off of the Juventus vs Valletta game at Ta' Qali.

A string of fine examples of classic 500s went on parade at the national ground and Fiat also presented its whole range to the public, from the Panda and Grande Punto to the Bravo, Sedici, Croma and Doblo. Music from every era accompanied the parade.

The event was presented by Juventus' own Dj Marco Nana (known as DJ Nana), who also presented the 500 in Italy during its launch.

Juventus goalkeeper Gianluigi Buffon was taken for a ride in the car, saluting the public as he was driven around the pitch.

The Fiat 500 comes in these trim levels: Pop, Lounge and Sport. The engine choices include two petrol engines, 1.2 69bhp and 1.4 100bhp and one diesel engine: The 1.3 75bhp Multijet.

The starting price is €15,723 (Lm6,750).
