Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi signed a cooperation agreement with the European Organisation for Nuclear Research (CERN) during a tour of its huge underground research facilities near Geneva today.

The agreement will enable Maltese post-graduate students to conduct research with the organisation in a wide diversity of areas.

Dr Gonzi was accompanied by a delegation which included the University Rector, Prof. Juanito Camilleri and the pro-rector for research and innovation Prof. Richard Muscat.
