"Watch out!" shouted mum, as she was cleaning the house. Nicholas and Rebecca, her eight-year-old children, were having their breakfast in the kitchen, when they heard something explode in the oven. The Christmas pudding they had helped mum bake, exploded into tiny bits.

The tiny bits formed into small puddings and they flew out of the oven, since the oven door had fallen off. Dad heard the explosion from the garage and swiftly went running into the kitchen. Now the question is, did he hear the explosion or mum's yelling? Anyway, mum tried to hit the puddings, which were invading the house, with her broom. Dad started throwing things at them. Books, a table and chairs flew all over the kitchen! The children remained as calm as ever. Actually, they tried to eat the puddings!

Suddenly Santa Claus came down the chimney! The children shouted, "Santa Claus does exist! What did you bring us? What did you bring us?"

"Holy cow! Must be those puddings again!" said Santa, trying to calm the children by giving them presents. They ignored Santa and continued to try to eat the puddings. Santa put the presents back into the sack and he left the house, so as to report the puddings to Constable John. Constable John and five other policemen, armed with guns, tried to destroy the puddings by shooting at them. What will happen? Will they fight or settle things out? "Fire!" shouted Constable John, as they fired one by one at the puddings!

The puddings died one by one. Each time one died, chocolate came out and Nicholas and Rebecca gobbled it up! The last remaining pudding, claimed to be the puddings' leader. It explained that it didn't like being eaten. They let it go free. It went away, but as Nicholas and Rebecca helped the pudding open the front door, they ate it! Oh well! Children never learn! The family thanked Santa and the officers. Santa gave the children presents before leaving and shouted out loudly: "Happy Christmas! Ho, ho, ho!"
