Need for more sexual education

Alternattiva Demokratika Zghazagh has expressed its concern over the lack of sexual education in Malta.

ADZ spokesman Robert Callus said that lives can be saved or improved through education. Extensive, focused and targeted educational campaigns by health authorities are a must, promoting responsible sexual behaviour, the use of condoms and regular testing for people at risk, he said.

Mr Callus added that a "lack of education increases the stigma towards AIDS victims. It also increases the possibility of contracting the virus".
