Students at Guzeppi Agius Primary School B, Paola, have written their wish lists for Santa and they are not just thinking of themselves. Here are excerpts from some of their letters.

Dear Santa Claus, how are you? Since Christmas is around the corner you will have many letters from around the world asking you for wonderful presents. I think this is really difficult. Being an obedient boy, I think that I also deserve some from you, if you please. For this Christmas I wish for a PS3 with lots of games, especially football ones, a PSP and also a goalkeeper's kit. While thanking you in advance, I hope you make my wishes come true. Yours truly, Kurt Craus, 10, of Tarxien.

We have already decorated our house with Christmas decorations. We made the Christmas tree, the crib and other decorations. We always make a Christmas log for the traditional sweet. Till now I haven't received any presents. I would like you to give me something for Christmas like a PSP, a dog, or cat, a mobile, football boots or may be a ball. This will truly be a present for my good behaviour and for how hard I worked this year. I am very sorry for those who don't believe in Jesus Christ and in Christmas and I wish they would turn good and believe. Thank you Santa Claus for reading my letter. Yours truly, Xylon Falzon, 10, of Tarxien.

I would like many toys for Christmas, a scooter, makeup set, mobile, beautiful dress and a beautiful pair of shoes. My favourite feast is Christmas. I wish that in my family we have more peace and love and I wish that I could have another brother too. It is nice to have another member in my family. I worked hard last year to have other things but I didn't have them, I promise you that I will work hard this year and obey the teacher and my parents. Yours truly, Debbie Schembri. 10, of Paola.

Are you coming to our house this Christmas? I want you to come very much to bring me some presents - a PS3 or some pencil colours because art is my favourite subject at school. I will be very happy if your send me something I wish for and I will send you another letter to thank you for the presents. Hope to hear from you soon. Yours truly, Matthew Camilleri, 10, of Tarxien.

I hope this letter finds you well and in full strength, ready for the festive season. This is a very special year for me and I have been working very hard because I have special exams coming, which are very important for my future. This year I have a special and different request to make. I wish that my Christmas present would be to see all the poor children get a special treat for Christmas. It would make me very happy to see these children smile for once. This would be my best Christmas present ever. I know that this is a difficult request but it is my greatest wish. I would like to thank you beforehand and I promise to be a very obedient and kind boy. Yours truly, David Buckle, 10, of Tarxien.

I have worked really hard this past year, so instead of coal I would have a nice present. Some children are telling me that you don't exist but I know that you exist because from when I was a little baby you have given me a present every Christmas. I hope that your elves are working very hard and making more toys. I hope that you are OK and very happy. Please don't forget to come to my house and have the milk and cookies. Happy Christmas Santa Claus. I love you very much. Yours sincerely, Eleanor Grech, 10, of Paola.

I would really like to get a horse, a deer, a big doll and plenty of good chocolates. I know it may sound like I'm wishing for too much but I'd really like the animals, as I love animals so much. Thank you for your understanding, dearest Santa. With great wishes, Kailyze Attard, 10, of Paola.

I wish for a portable CD player, two books and something to wear. If you please would you bring a toolbox for my father, a ring for my mother, many clothes for my sister, a small television for my brother and a model car for my sister's fiancŽ. If that's too many at least grant my last wish. Santa, we don't have a chimney so you have to pass through the washroom window. Then you have to go downstairs and there you will find the Christmas tree and a table with hot milk and cookies. Thank you Santa. With love from Marcelle Galea, 10, of Paola.

First of all are you in good Health? I know you are very busy at this time of year. Are the elves helping you? I would really like to leave school and join you but I can't.

This year I worked very hard and I behaved "so and so" well. I ask for an aeroplane. My wish list is: For everyone to have a merry Christmas, the poor don't forget them and that you will have time throughout your hardworking year to rest. Say hi to Mrs Claus for me, if you don't mind. Merry Christmas Santa Claus. Yours truly, Jean Michel Ellul, 10, of Paola.
