The police have made two arrests as part of their investigations into the shooting of a 29-year old Briton.

The incident is alleged to have followed an argument in Gharb, Gozo with a 52-year-old Maltese man last night, the police said.

The man, who is resident in St Paul's Bay, was found at Cirkewwa and rushed to hospital where he was operated this morning. He is not in danger of dying

Magistrate Miriam Hayman is leading an inquiry.
