MLP raises Lm311,990 for its elections war chest

The Labour Party said it raised Lm311,990 in donations during fund raising initiatives this year.

The party collected Lm105,550 in a fund-raising marathon on its media on Thursday, the amount being added to a further three collections for the election war chest earlier this year.

The party thanked its supporters for their donations, saying this was a clear signal that the people wanted change in the country.

The Nationalist Party will hold its own fund-raising marathon this Saturday, and PN general secretary Joe Saliba has said the target is to raise Lm300,000. That will go mostly for the completion of the new party headquarters.
