Change is badly needed within the Labour Party. Even Labour Party MPs feel the need for change. In an interview with this newspaper - In Search Of A More Open Labour Party (May 14, 2003) - Labour MP Anglu Farrugia, when asked whether he considered Alfred Sant as a failed leader said: "Yes he has completely failed". Dr Farrugia also said that "the style of leadership has to change".

The Labour MP is also of the opinion that a leader should keep his word. With regard to Dr Sant, the Labour MP said "Dr Sant said a lot of things before the 1996 election and did not fulfill them".

Need I say more? Dr Farrugia said it all and coming from the Labour fold its rich (!).
