The Ministry of Rural Affairs and the Environment will be holding a Christmas Village at Ta' Qali National Park from December 13-16.

Attractions will include carol singing, food and drink, entertainment and exhibitions.

A Christmas tree will be set up where visitors can bring food items and gifts for the YMCA Homeless. The items will be put under the tree and will be delivered to the YMCA Homeless Shelter Èon December 16.

Other attractions include taking photos with Father Christmas and a life-size crib. Proceeds will go to YMCA Homeless.

The YMCA Homeless shelter accommodates more than 22 people, most of whom are women and children.

Much of the work is done from the Drop-In Centre, where generic social work to people with diverse problems is provided. The NGO assists in more than 60 individual cases every day.
