Education partner for University programme

The University of Malta has appointed Bank of Valletta as the 'Education partner' of its Degreeplus programme, which boosts students' employability by adding practical skills and experiences to their academic studies.

Rector Juanito Camilleri announced that to date 640 students had enrolled on the programme, 220 for entrepreneurship and 112 for voluntary work.

The bank sponsored the entrepreneurship, ICT, and culture and heritage units, and will have a representative on the committee overseeing the programme's management, which is chared by Prof. Albert Caruana. With the extra funds the University plans to strengthen and extend the programme, and the intention is to extend it to students in all years.
