Hold-up leaves bad taste
A lone robber held up a confectioner in Triq R. Caruana Dingli in San Gwann yesterday afternoon and made off with Lm150 in cash.
The police said the hold-up occurred at about 12.30 p.m. when a man, whose face was covered by a mask, barged into the confectionery shop pointing a firearm and demanding money from the owner.
The hold-up was witnessed by a customer who was inside the shop.
Magistrate Lawrence Quintano appointed court experts to help in an inquiry.
The police are investigating.
