Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi yesterday filed two libel suits against the editor of One News and the media executive of the Malta Labour Party.

In one suit, filed against One News editor Miriam Dalli, Dr Gonzi claimed that comments broadcast on Super One Radio on November 14 were defamatory.

In the second case, Dr Gonzi claimed an article entitled Gideb Sistematiku (Systematic Lies), written by MLP media executive Mark Farrugia on November 14, contained defamatory comments.

Dr Gonzi claimed damages in both suits.

Lawyer Joseph Zammit Maempel signed the suits.
