Bindeez and Aquadots, the toy products consisting of small coloured beads, may give rise to adverse health effects if swallowed, the Consumer and Competition Division (CCD), warned yesterday.

The main symptoms are vomiting and loss of consciousness. A global recall has been carried out by the manufacturer. For the past weeks, the CCD has carried out inspections, checking whether these products are available on the local market. As yet, none have been identified.

Anyone who encounters such products and/or needs further information is to contact the CCD on 2144 6251/5.
